The RePaper Project: Re-Imagining Paper for the 21st Century.
Member organizations of the Environmental Paper Network have come together in a collaborative effort to address the urgent challenge of increasing paper recycling and recovery. The RePaper Project works to build bridges with other stakeholders in order to foster dialogue, create partnerships, and advance policy reforms that improve and increase paper fiber recovery and the manufacturing of recycled paper.
What's in Your Paper? is a campaign to accelerate the development of environmental leadership papers and increase the environmental accountability of paper suppliers to their customers. WhatsInYourPaper.org provides paper purchasers with accessible tools, sample documents, and easy to understand guidance to reduce their environmental impact and green their paper supply chain. The project has developed a complete toolkit to adopting and successfully implementing an environmental paper procurement policy. And in partnership with Canopy, the Eco Paper Database assists with identifying truly leadership papers in an expanding range of applications.
Forest Carbon Counts is a collaborative project of the Environmental Paper Network to advance scientifically based accounting of the climate impacts of harvesting and burning of forests for products and energy. The forest and paper industry is the largest user of bio-energy in the United States. The energy is almost entirely consumed in the production of virgin fiber products.
