Environmental Paper Network Welcomes Four New Corporate “Power Users” of the Paper Calculator Life Cycle Tool
Asheville, NC – Four more corporate sustainability leaders have joined the Power User program of the Environmental Paper Network’s Paper Calculator. The Paper Calculator is the premiere, independent life cycle tool for estimating the environmental implications of different paper choices.
Power Users are proven leaders in the responsible use of paper, and are advanced users of the Paper Calculator, which is available free at PaperCalculator.org. In joining the invitation-only program, Power Users support the Paper Calculator as the leading tool for measuring and reporting the impacts of paper choices. Over 50,000 stakeholders use the Paper Calculator annually – including companies, organisations, schools, and individuals – to quantify the impacts of their paper usage, and to compare different grades and types of paper with varying amounts of recycled content. Organizations participating in the Power User program receive premium features, and invest in the tool to help maintain its accuracy and independence.
The Environmental Paper Network is pleased to welcome the following companies to the Power User program:
Bloomberg is the leader in global business and financial information, enabling customers to make smarter, faster, and more informed business decisions.
ViridiSTOR’s Green Box™ Solution is revolutionizing the distribution of literature and marketing materials (including video) at trade shows, conventions, and conferences, all while reducing costs for all stakeholders.
Waste Free Mail has worked for more than a decade to connect consumers and companies based on consumer preferences, and reduce the amount of undeliverable mail to central mail centers.
Zumbox is a free, digital postal system that allows consumers to receive their mail in one easily managed place.
The Paper Calculator is owned and managed by the Environmental Paper Network, which is a coalition of over 100 non-profit organisations accelerating the marketplace towards more sustainable paper products. The Environmental Paper Network began in 2001 and assumed ownership of the Paper Calculator in 2011 from its original developer, the Environmental Defense Fund.
Kim Porter, manager of the Paper Calculator for the Environmental Paper Network, applauds the Calculator’s Power Users as “visionary companies that are investing in solutions that create real benefits for the world’s forests and our climate. The Environmental Paper Network commends these four companies, and all of our Power Users, for their partnership and their understanding that what’s in your paper matters.”
